Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the service. TPS uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is necessary to function and to understand usage at an aggregate level.

2. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for TPS to function. You cannot opt out of these cookies while remaining signed in to the platform.

CookieDurationPurpose
next-auth.session-token30 daysAuthenticated session token (HTTP-only, Secure)
next-auth.csrf-tokenSessionCSRF protection for authentication requests
next-auth.callback-urlSessionStores the redirect URL after sign-in
tps-lang1 yearRemembers your language preference (English / Russian)

3. Authentication Cookies

TPS uses NextAuth.js to manage authentication. The session cookie (next-auth.session-token) is HTTP-only and Secure, meaning it cannot be read by client-side JavaScript and is only transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. This cookie contains an encrypted JWT that identifies your session — your password is never stored in the cookie.

4. Analytics Cookies

TPS uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how users interact with the platform at an aggregate level. GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique visitors and sessions.

CookieDurationPurpose
_ga2 yearsDistinguishes unique users for Google Analytics
_ga_*2 yearsStores and counts page views for the GA4 property

GA4 data is processed by Google LLC. Your email address and personal identifiers are not sent to Google Analytics. To opt out of GA4, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Marketing Cookies

TPS does not currently use marketing, advertising, or retargeting cookies. We do not share data with ad networks. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified.

6. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to TPS.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or change how we use cookies. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice in the app.
